“It's the teacher who can change mankind for the better.”
Teachers' Day is Celebrated in honour of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan's birthday, who had asked people to dedicate the day to teachers and mentors.
We MMPians commemorated this day on 5th September with full vigour by organising a Special Assembly in the morning. The school choir chanted the Gayatri Mantra followed by a Guru Mantra- ‘Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu’. The assembly proceeded further with an emphatic speech delivered by the Head Boy Krishankant followed by a felicitation of our reverential Principal madam Mrs Rooma Pathak. Then the Class IV students recited wonderful poems dedicated to the teachers whereas Class VII students delivered their speeches. Class II tiny tots put themselves in the shoe of their teachers, well-attired, decked up like their mentors and presented their views on their teachers and how they brought a positive change in their life. The assembly ended with an invigorating speech given by the school Head Girl Hridya Sharma followed by the National Anthem.
To dedicate this day to the Principal Ma'am and the Teachers, twelfth class students dressed up as teachers and taught in classes like their teachers for the first half of the school. It was followed by a celebration in the school’s auditorium where twelfthees expressed their gratitude, love and thanked their teachers by presenting Thank You Cards and Flowers. They also performed dances on the latest Bollywood numbers in order to entertain their favourite teachers. Principal Ma'am appreciated students' efforts in making the day memorable and wished all the teachers a very Happy Teacher's Day
The day witnessed the felicitation of all the teachers and mentors. The school Director and the Principal wished all the coordinators, and teachers and inspired them to continue with their good work. The day was immensely enjoyed by the students as well as the teaching fraternity.
